I thought wondra came off as a kind of a B#$%@. Jubilee was tough no doubt and could get in your face...but that was usually for people who deserved it, otherwise she was the most open caring person.

We caught her on a bad day. She's been under a lot of stress lately, what with losing her power; getting kicked out of her home; getting kidnapped and almost dying; then being recruited into a new superhero team and learning to use new powers, while trying to act as field-leader to 7 people who are also learning to use new powers, many of whom have never worked together before. Oh yeah, and their leader is a mystery man she doesn't trust. So on Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs being nice to the annoying teenage girl is just slightly lower than figuring out "what she's doing, and why she's doing it."

Wondra got peeved because other people had a different opinion and weren't listening to her.

It's more than just Jubilee feeling ignored and sulking, though it's unserstandable it she feels like everyone's against her even if she's in the right. She's worried about her teammates safety and frustrated that they're following a leader she doesn't trust. His story doesn't add up; she presented her arguement, Thrash' had no rebuttal; and the rest of the team didn't care. So she's angry at her friends for being so easily manipulated (especially Jono) and even angrier at Thrash' for manipulating them and risking all their lives. So when she talks to the kids (not much younger tha herself) she's probably feeling a litle angry at them (and worried for them) because they're so loyal to Thrash'.

It's awesome she's been made more edgier and has grown but there's respected leadership and just being mean.

Which did she learn from Wolverine? Or Emma? At the moment when Jubilee was "being mean" to Grace, was she thinking of herself as a respected leader, or just a young woman giving serious thought to whether she belongs with this team at all?

I agree with what was said about her just now asking about the pasts of the three techies. Not only cause it doesn't seem like something jubes would do but also from a tactical point, it wouldn't make sense not to know your teammates/ co workers (if they're not considered team mates) histories.

The way the X-Men all took an interest in her when she moved into the mansion, at about Grace's age? Sometimes we just repeat the paterns of our experience. I get the impression that Jubilee has spent most of her time training the team, while Thrash's "junior interns" carry out his instructions and Thrash' pursues his own business with no explanation. Jubilee hasn't had much need or opportunity to interact with the kids. Aja hasn't been around, Kaz is always busy when she sees him, and Grace doesn't seem to do much of anything but make remarks. We know the team's been together "for months" but consider this: after months together do any of the other New Warriors know anything about the kids? Or from another perspective: if you work in a company with two departments how well will you know the people in the other department after just a few months on the job, especially if you're supervising your own department?

Actually something else, odd is if she thought Christine took tech that was poorly suited for the work and weak why didn't Jubilee say anything to her?

1) Hindsight is 20/20 - maybe Jubilee didn't see the weekness of the tech before it was too late.
2) Maybe Jubilee did recognize the weakness, but Christine wouldn't listen to her. Then it would be up to Night Thrasher - with his presumed superior knowledge of both the tech and fighting - to convince her.

I also think I know why it was done, so that we as the readers can know of the backgrounds of Grace, and Aja, without it coming out from the blue for no reason.

I agree. I think a lot of this issue makes a good introductory point. We not only got background on the kids, but there were even panels in which the New Warriors are named while being instructed in the use of their powers. I just wish Grevioux had done this in issue #1. I still think he's writing a good story, but being unfamiliar with writing for comics he may have underestimated the audience's need for this kind of information up front, not 10 months later. It's the 30 days between issues that Grevioux underestimated. Readers get impatient as the months go by.
